COMPETITION:

  • 603 players, 1000+ entries
  • 24 competition courts
  • Official shuttle – Yonex Aeroclear 30 speed 3
  • 10-minute default rule will be strictly enforced.
  • Video cameras placement – see venue layout. Ask referee for placement of video camera if you are unsure.
  • There will be no warm-up courts in the venue during tournament hours.
  • To do warm-up, please come to Carrollton Badminton Center [CLICK HERE] or DFW Irving Badminton Center [CLICK HERE] (Rental Court Require)
  • Only hitting warm-up will be on court as directed by the umpire prior to match start.
  • If you plan to walkover your match, please inform the referee or tournament desk.

LINE JUDGING:

  • Line judge
    • Singles –both players
    • Doubles –winning pair
  • Even if it is a player’s last match of the day, it is the player’s responsibility to stay and perform line judge duty.
  • Do not leave the court if player’s name is called to staging. If the match is not finished, let the umpire know and they will call for the referee. Stay on the court until a replacement line judge is found.
  • No electronic device may be used while sitting in line judge chair
  • Approved parent / line judge substitute must check-in at tournament desk to obtain badge. You must visibly wear the “line judge” badge while line judging.

 

*Any adult (over 18 years old at any time during the tournament) that plans to substitute for line judging must register prior to the tournament start through the JotForm (Line Judge Signup)

COACHING:

  • Credential must be VISIBLE to technical officials and tournament staff – wear your badge at all times
  • Only coaches with approved credentials can sit in the “coach chair”
  • Only (1) coach per side is allowed on court
  • Remain in the coach seat during play
  • No electronic device may be used while sitting in the chair
  • Coaches must wear proper attire -no flip flops or beach shorts, no hat

SAFE SPORT & MINOR ATHLETE ABUSE PREVENTION:

  • USA Badminton would like to remind everyone SafeSport (USAB-SafeSport-Policy_REV7.pdf) and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies are in place for all junior tournaments.
  • Please find the current USAB Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy Badminton_2025MAAPP_Approved_11.18.24
  • To report all concerns involving alleged misconduct, emotional misconduct, sexual misconduct or violations of the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) to:

FACILITY:

  • Only badminton shoes allowed on court
  • No outside food is allowed to be eaten inside field of play. Keep area clean by using trash bins
  • Wifi reserved for tournament desk and will not be available to public

  • Medals for Top 4 finishers
  • Backdrop available for photo opportunity on awards podium

PARKING:

  • Major cross street – Rockbook & Highland Drive
  • There are parking spaces around the building.
  • Do not park in designated parking spaces for tournament staff
  • There are also office buildings across the street from Highland. It is usually ok to park there on the weekends and holidays.
